To provide music playback and library features, the App requests permission to access audio files stored on your device:
- READ_MEDIA_AUDIO / READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: Used exclusively to scan, organize, and play your local audio files.
- Local Database (Room Storage): Favorites, playlists, listen history, and equalizer presets are stored locally on your device only.
B. Device and Performance Data
The App uses standard system features for background playback and notification controls:
- FOREGROUND_SERVICE & FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MEDIA_PLAYBACK: Keeps audio playback active when the App is in the background or screen is locked.
- POST_NOTIFICATIONS: Displays playback controls on your lock screen and notification bar.

To keep the App free, GlassBeat integrates third-party services that may collect anonymous device information for ad serving and analytics.
